A Look At: Surprise Return for a ‘True General Hospital Legend’

A Look At: Surprise Return for a ‘True General Hospital Legend’: More than five years since her final General Hospital appearance as an actor on the show, Robin Blake returned to the show on the episode on September 30 as the Metro Court patron. Long- we mean long– – -time viewers of ABC’s last daytime drama can recall her appearances from 1964 to 76. She was Judy Clampett, who went from a student nurse to a full-time R.N. and eventually became friends with Tracy Adams, the hospital’s first Black doctor.

“Nearly 60 years later, and Robin is still happy to visit Port Charles,” posted The Official General Hospital Instagram account. “You may have seen Robin today on The Metro Court. Let us give a real General Hospital legend applause!”

In addition to her extended period at Port Charles, Blake has gone through several series between Dynasty to Cheers and from Falcon Crest to 24 as a variety of party guests and bar/restaurant patrons. Blake was also on the screen in the 1981 Burt Reynolds movie Paternity film as — obviously! — a nurse. (Pictured alongside Blake in the picture in the upper right-hand corner of this article is the late amazing Emily McLaughlin, another original cast member. She was the role of Nurse Jessie Brewer, as you are aware.)
