All India Institute of Local Self Government, Ahmedabad, Gujarat has organized an Integrated Sensitization Programme under Finance and Revenue for Elected Representatives from Jammu Municipal Corporation at Ahmedabad
This program has been conducted for four days starting from 9th September 2022 to 12th September 2022.
On the very first day MayorJMC Jammu Municipal Corporation, Shri Chander Mohan Gupta, Elected Representative and Executives of JMC namely Councillor Dr. Akshay Sharma, S. Sucha Singh, Sh. Dinesh Gupta, Sh. Anil Kumar Massom, Smt. Anita Sharma, Smt. Neena Gupta, Sh. Anil Kumar, Sh. Ashok Singh Manhasand Executives of JMC Mrs. Rimy Ohri(Joint Commissioner (Adm.)) and Sh. Ashwani Sudan Chief Revenue Officerattended a session on Municipal Finance and Revenue for Ahmedabad.
On the second day, the participants along with Ex-Mayor Shri Gautam Shah Jiand Team of AIILSG visited the Statue of Unity.
Mayor JMC appreciated the efforts made by Gujarat Government toward women empowerment, especially for the Tribal community. He also enjoyed the Gujarati food prepared by local women.
On the third day, the participants visited GIFT City (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City) to know about the best practices adopted by GIFT City and have great knowledge from GIFT city and assure the participant and faculty members of GIFT city that they also adopt such type of initiatives in JMC also in near future.
The participants got to know about the dream project of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji and appreciated it. Hon’ble Mayor JMC has met CFO and Sr. Manager and praised the work done by them.
After that, the Mayor, JMC along with Ex-Mayor Shri Gautam Shah Ji Ahmedabadvisited office of the Chief Minister of Gujarat and have an interaction/discussion over the model of Gujarat city and also discussed various important issues with Chief Minister that how can Jammu Municipal Corporation incorporate the best infrastructure for the people of Jammu.
The Chief Minister of Gujarat also appreciated the keen interest shown by the Elected representatives of Jammu Municipal Corporation towards the best making of their city with modern ideas. Mayor, JMC thanks the Chief Minister of Gujarat for sparing valuable time for the elected representatives of JMC and for his keen interest in Jammu Municipal Corporation. Mayor JMC also invited the Chief Minister of Gujarat to have a visit to J&K UT.
On the same day, the participants visited the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation office and met with the Mayor of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Elected Representatives and their senior officials of AMC and shared their views to uplift the work culture and modernization of Ahmedabad city. A no. of discussions held during the meeting for modernization and improvement of Jammu city on the pattern of Ahmedabad city.AMC made a presentation on property tax, SWM and other best practices of AMC. Thereafter, the Mayor of AMC felicitated the Mayor of Jammu Municipal corporation, Elected representatives of Jammu Municipal Corporation and Executives from Jammu Municipal Corporation.
At the conclusion of the training session, the All India Institute of Local Self Government Ahmedabad distributed certificates to the participants from Jammu Municipal Corporation.
