Andor’s Mon Mothma is Getting Big Changes

O’Reilly presents a new version of Mon Mothma that audiences have never seen before. In Star Wars Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, she was shown as the strong leader of the Alliance before the attack on the second Death Star. Andor shows her as a senator who was stressed by her time in government. She argued against the Empire’s puppets and enacted no major legislation. Andor appears to be helping Mon Mothma begin her character journey. She is an Imperial senator who feels she can barely stay afloat and will soon become the leader of the entire Rebel Alliance. O’Reilly has set the stage for her future role as leader of the Rebellion, despite only capturing a few scenes.
