George Nolfis will direct it. In addition to George Nolfi being tapped to direct the forthcoming post-apocalyptic thriller, Lyrical Media’s Elevation has added several famous actors to its lineup. In a report by Deadline, Anthony Mackie (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) is joining the film along with Morena Baccarin (Deadpool) and Maddie Hasson (Malignant).
The specific plot details of the film’s upcoming release remain undetermined. But, Deadline says the film’s plot, Elevation, is set within the Rocky Mountains and centres on two fathers and a single woman who must embark on the dangers of monsters to save a child’s life. With a group of skilled actors in the middle of a story that could be enthralling, Elevation is looking to be an exciting film that will be a welcome addition to this genre. Further details and casting details for the movie are expected to be revealed once the production gets underway soon.
Kenny Ryan and Jacob Roman Jacob Roman, who worked previously in Seal Team, wrote the screenplay for the film along with John Glenn (The Lazarus Project) and John Glenn, who serves as producer for the project along with Brad Fuller. Apart from acting in the film, Mackie is also producing the film with Ryan, Roman, Nolfi, Jeremy Kipp Walker, JoelViertel, and Lyrical Media’s Alex Black. Fuller Media’s Alex Ginno and Jon Rosenberg executive the project in conjunction with Natalie Sellers of Lyrical Media and Inspire Entertainment’s Jason Spire.
Alongside the publication of Elevation, Mackie will be reprising his role of Sam Wilson, now taking on the role of Captain America in the much-anticipated Marvel Studios movie Captain America: New World Order to be released on 3.5.2024. Mackie will also appear on Twisted Metal, a series inspired by the video game that will debut on Peacock on a date yet to be determined and Desert Warrior, an upcoming film by director Rupert Wyatt. Recent credits the actor has been in include appearances as a character in Black Mirror, Season 2 of Altered Carbon, and The Woman in the Window, an upcoming psychosocial thriller.
In addition to her roles in the two Deadpool films, Baccarin also appeared in Gotham, the TV series inspired by the city of The Batman franchise and The Endgame, a crime drama. She’s set to appear on the screen in Fast Charlie, the crime thriller written by director Phillip Noyce. Hasson is the lead in Taurus, the drama film written by director Tim Sutton, which premiered at the 2022 Berlin Film Festival. Phillip Noyce.
