Ramban, June, 28: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Mussarat Islam today presides Swach Vidhyala Purskar district level function organized at UPS Phalti Zone, Ramban.
During the function Member District Development Council, Ramban-B Renuka Katoch, Sarpanch Panchayat Maitra Mohinder Singh, various senior officers from the education department, and prominent citizens were also present.
The Swatch Vidhyala Purskar (SVP) has been instituted by the Ministry of Education Government of India to recognize, inspire and celebrate excellence in sanitation and hygiene practice in schools. under the said purskar, out of a total of 1007 Government and Private Schools of District, Ramban,951 schools were registered on said portal. Out of 951 schools, 890 schools were under final submission.
0ut of 658 eligible schools of District Ramban after proper evaluation under the overall category 08 schools were selected and 14 schools were selected under the sub-category in District Ramban. Out of these schools, two schools Priyas Hemkrish High School Maitra and High School Chanderkote were selected for UT Level under said Purskar.
The Deputy Commissioner who is also the Chairman of Swach Vidhyala Purskar was the chief guest and Chief Education Officer, Ramban, Dev Anand was the guest of Honour.
While speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed upon the teachers to be punctual and provide quality education to the students by using the latest techniques. Chief Education Officer, Ramban congratulated the Heads of the 22 schools who received certificates of appreciation from the Deputy Commissioner for making their schools neat and clean besides focusing on curricular and extracurricular activities.
The Deputy Commissioner advised the students to read newspapers on daily basis to develop their vocabulary besides improving their reading and speaking skills which would help in their personality development.
