The students were first taken to Manda Zoo for witnessing the natural heritage of Jammu region later on they visited Amar Mahal, which is a magnificent palace in Jammu and is a reflection of rich Dogra heritage. The students also came to know that it was built in the nineteenth century for Raja Amar Singh, the Dogra King. It was built by a French architect on the lines of a French Chateau.

Inside the palace they observed many exhibits including a golden throne weighing 120 kg, Pahari miniature and Kangra miniature paintings, a library of 25,000 antique books and many rare art collections. The guide interacted with the students and made them familiar with the history of the palace and the Dogra dynasty.

Principal Prof. Aekta Gupta had flagged off the team in the morning. She encouraged students and staff to organize these kinds of visits so that students can learn more about their rich native heritage. The glory of the heritage site was so inspirational that each and every student felt proud and mesmerized about their glorious past. It was a good learning experience for the faculty and the students who were a part of this visit. Ms Payal and MsSabya were the student organizers.
