GCW Bhagwati Nagar organized an Awareness Campaign on 13 th of September 2022 in the adopted
village ‘Om Nagar’ to celebrate Swachhata Pakhwada. Wherein Faculty member of the college Dr.
Mosmi Raina, Department of Environmental Sciences delivered a lecture on the importance of cleanliness, personal hygiene and sanitation.
She explained that maintenance of clean surroundings is essential for a healthy and active life and ensuring physical and mental well-being. She also elaborated on the menace of single-use plastic and its impact on the environment. Prof. Parwinder Kaur, Department of Punjabi made the inhabitants aware of the outbreak of malaria and dengue these days and precautions that must be taken to contain the spread.
She also explained the importance of clean drinking water for a disease-free life. Later soaps, hand sanitizers and eatables were also distributed among the children of the village. The event was organized under the supervision of the Principal of the College, Dr. Meeru Abrol.
