Hone a San Diego, CA-based provider of a person-skills training platform, has raised $30 million through Series B financing.
The round that increases the total amount raised to $52.4m is managed by 3L Capital, with participation from Invus Opportunities, F-Prime Capital, Cowboy Ventures, NextGen Venture Partners, Slack Fund, Semper Virens, and Swift Ventures.
The company plans to use the money to build a platform to provide more effective learning experiences.
Directed by Hone’s CEO Tom Griffiths, Hone provides an enterprise-level platform for Live online education. Live learning is delivered at a large scale in areas such as efficient leadership and management. DEIB Hone facilitates the change in human behaviour by fostering human connections and constant growth. The Learning and Development (L&D) platform provides live, online, instructor-led training sessions to teams at the enterprise level – allowing people to acquire people-related skills taught by experts in their field and benefit from discussions with peers as well as real-time learning with social reinforcement and the ability to measure changes.
Its current catalogue of over 60 courses and over 500 classes taught on diversity equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) in its entirety. The company’s focus is on all-person competencies. It includes the areas of mental health and wellness as well as management and personal performance—the company’s content bridges diverse backgrounds, generational skills, and generations. Classes for advanced courses are scheduled for the coming months.
