The Indian Army has maintained strong ties with its Veer Naris and Widows. To honour and assist the Widows and Veer Naris of the region, the Indian Army conducted a ‘Widows and Veer Naris Grievance Redressal Meet’ at Banihal, Ramban District. The interaction offered a platform for them to voice their concerns, and the necessary corrective steps could be taken with the appropriate authorities.
Brig SK Saul (Sena Medal), Deputy General Officer Commanding Counter Insurgency Force, Delta) addressed the meeting and felicitated the Veer Naris and Widows. During the interaction, Widows and Veer Naris were apprised about various welfare and financial schemes launched by Indian Armed Forces/J&K government/Central government and functioning of ESM Help Line, ECHS and Pensioner benefits.
The meeting is a testimony to the Veer Naris, Widows and their care for them.
