Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kishtwar lays FLDs for promotion of Pulse Cultivation

For promoting pulse cultivation in District Kishtwar, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kishtwar,
Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu today laid
out Front Line Demonstrations (FLDs) on Mash Crop in an area of 200 Kanal in the Village
Dhar Panchayat Khori of the District.

The FLD programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. JP Sharma, Vice
Chancellor SKUAST Jammu. Dr. Narinder Paul incharge scientist KVK Kishtwar
organized the programme under the supervision of Dr. SK Gupta Director Extension
SKUAST Jammu. Lorine Kouser, AEO Kandani, Safia Jan Dev JAEO, Sanjeev Gupta
JAEO, Narinder Gupta AEA, and Vishal Kumar AEA collaborated with KVK for laying out
the demonstrations.


Critical inputs of the Mash crop were distributed among 80 farmers of the village. The
participants were also trained in scientific cultivation and agronomic practices of mash.
Shakuntla Devi, Sarpanch Khori hailed the efforts of KVK for reaching the farmers of
the far-flung area of the District and adopting the village for the promotion of pulse cultivation. Rajkumar, Akhtar Hussain, Des Raj, Noor Hussain, Bal Krishan and other farmers of the village participated in the programme.
