Jammu, May 26: Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor JMC, and Sh. Surinder Choudhary is the Ward Councilor. 29 people inspected surprise today PHE Sub Division near A.G Office, Shakti Nagar Jammu & took stock of the water supply position from this station of Shakti Nagar & its adjoining areas.
Mr. Anil Katoch Assistant Executive Engineer, Mr. Vikas Sharma & Mr. Rajinder Sharma both Assistant Engineers of PHE, Mr. Raman Verma Junior Engineer & other supervisory staff of concerned PHE pumping station, Mr. Ramesh Wazir Sanitation Officer JMC along with his concerned sanitation staff as well as Mr. Krishan Lal, Mr. Suresh Gupta, Mr. Karan Sharma & other prominent inhabitants of the locality were also accompanied the Mayor during the tour.
He directed the Jal Shakti Department Engineers concerned to take all preventative steps to plug the leakage. PHE water pipes flowing in the locality, make necessary & timely repair works at all the pumping stations & maintain proper cleanliness in & around the pumping stations & make sure that the field staff remains present during their allotted duty hours. He also listened carefully to the issues that were raised. PHEAll staff will be notified and given the assurance that all genuine grievances would be resolved in a timely manner.
Mayor also chaired the meeting of NBCC & UEEDAdvocate Purnima Singh, Deputy Mayor. Dr. Akshay Kumar Sharma Councilor of Ward No. 8, Mr. Anil K Masoom Councilor for Ward no. 10, Mr. Narotam Singh Sharma councilor of Ward no. 3, Mr. Sunet Kumar Raina Councilor for ward no. 9, Mr. Gopal Gopta Councilor in ward no. 5, Madam Sandhya Gupta Councilor for ward no. 15, Madam Sunita Kul Councilor for Ward no. 4, Madam Sunita Koul Councilor of Ward no. 11 as well as Mr. Shivku Gupta Executive engineer (UEED) Mr. Rajesh Khajuria Assistant Executive Engineer (UEED), Mr. Manoj Kumar Junior Engineer (UEED), Mr. Aditya Kumar General Manager NBCC, concerned contractors & other supervisory staff of NBCC & UEEDThey were also present at the meeting.
All councilors representing Jammu City’s old wards raised their most pressing issues in one voice NBCC & UEED and said that citizens especially those residing in Panjtirthi, Pacca Danga, Purani Mandi & other adjoining areas are suffering a lot due to non-completion of work undertaken by NBCC.
The mayor directed strictly the officers of both the department to take concrete measures & execute all the pending works on a top priority basis so that the general public may not suffer anymore. Engineers of UEEDAlso available: NBCC assured the Hon’ble Councilors present in the meeting that the remaining work will be got completed in the month of June 2022.
