Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu in collaboration with GCW Parade celebrates National Constitution Day

Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu in collaboration with GCW Parade Ground Jammu and NSS celebrated National Constitution Day at the Auditorium of GCW parade ground, in which College students and NYK volunteers took part. Jugal Kishore Sharma, Hon’ble MP was the Chief Guest of the Programme. The program started with the reading of the preamble by the chief guest Jugal Kishore Sharma, Hon’ble MP. Participants of GCW parade ground performed the one-act play in which the process of Making of Indian Constitution was beautifully depicted. The act showed the role of the constitution makers and the difficulties that came in their path while making the constitution.

S P Saraswat, Principal, GCW Parade Ground welcomed the dignitaries and  Participants, while addressing the youth it is the need of the hour to follow the constitution as we are living in a civilized world. Jugal Kishore Sharma, Hon’ble MP addressed the youth. While addressing the Youth, he showered his praise upon the team who performed the one-act play, he also said that with how much difficulty and dedication the architects of our constitution performed this task; this play has made us understand and realize. He further added it is the only holy book of India according to which our nation runs and behaves. Moreover, it is the finest of the Constitution in the whole democratic world.

Later Nisar Ahmed Butt, State Director, NYKS, J&K thanked Chief Guest and other dignitaries participants, he also thanked the college administration, especially Principal Shri. S P Saraswat and Dr Gurpreet Kour, NSS Programme officer for conducting such a successful programme.  At last Prof. Neena Gupta, HOD of Political Science, GCW parade delivered her lecture on fundamental rights and duties. Mr. Parvez Ahmed, NSS programme officer also awarded the Youth about the constitution and on the occasion participants took oath to protect and follow the constitution. The program ends with the singing of the national anthem.
