PRSI J&K Chapter launch: Jammu is all set to welcome delegates from all over India

Jammu, 17th March: Jammu, the city of temples, is all set to welcome delegates from all over the country for the launch of the Jammu and Kashmir chapter of the Public Relations Society of India on 19th March 2023.

Dr Ajit Pathak, National President, PRSI, and over twenty prominent PR and media professionals from Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Delhi, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh Andhra Pradesh have started to arrive in Jammu for the much-awaited event.

A day before the event, that is, on Saturday, the delegates will travel to Katra and pay obeisance at the revered shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi ji.

The launch, to be held at CSIR IIIM (RRL) Auditorium, will be followed by special lectures, and a panel discussion on ‘Government Communication and Public Relations on the same day and will be participated by the delegates, media and PR professionals from J&K.

Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Earth Sciences, Science & Technology, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, will grace the ceremony.

Besides, notable people from Jammu including politicians, bureaucrats, heads of educational institutions, Padma Shri Awardees, journalists, industrialists, businessmen, entrepreneurs, and members of civil society will also be an important part of the event. On Sunday evening, a felicitation program ‘Pride of Jammu’ will be organised at Press Club Jammu.

Dr. Anil Saumitra, Chairperson, PRSI J&K chapter, Regional Director IIMC Jammu, finalized the arrangements for the launch of the J&K chapter which is being established under the Public Relations Society of India, the national association of PR practitioners established in 1958 to promote the recognition of public relations as a profession and to formulate and interpret to the public the objectives and the potentialities of public relations as a strategic management function.”
