Resident Evil Village’s next DLC will end the Winters family story

Capcom claims that Resident Evil Village will close the Winters family saga with its new DLC, Winters’ Expansion. Capcom director Capcom Director Kento Kinoshita stated to IGN at Tokyo Game Show that the Shadows of Rose section of the DLC will end the Winters family’s story.

Masachika Kawata, the Capcom producer, declined to speak to IGN about that future. He stated that Capcom could not “absolutely” discuss the next steps for the franchise.

Shadows of Rose is one of the Village DLC parts that will be released on October 28. It takes place 16 years after the Village events when Rose Winters discovers more about herself and her unusual powers. Ethan Winters, Rose’s father, first appeared in Resident Evil in 2017’s Resident Evil 7: biohazard before returning to Village. Rose’s mother, Mia, his wife, and Rose’s father also appeared in both games.

The Winters’ Expansionfeatures more than just the main game. It also includes a third-person mode. The Mercenaries mode will get new content with Chris Redfield, Lady Alcina Dimitrescu and Heisenberg as playable. There will also be a multiplayer spinoff called Resident Evil Re: Verse. This content will be available on October 28 as part of Winters’ Expansion.

Resident Evil Village was released on May 20,21, for Google Stadia and PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC.
