Mitti ke Diye: The literal meaning of earthen lamp is ‘earth lamp’. These lamps are given the form of a lamp by the artisan by kneading the clay well and after drying, they are painted and after that they are sent to sell in the markets.
It is believed that there are many benefits of earthen lamps. The soil used to make them is believed to be grounding and help purify the air. The twinkling flames of diyas are said to drive away negative energy and give rise to postive energy.
