Minister inaugurates farmers-owned Harit Pradesh Milk Producer Company

He stated that the government’s primary focus is on increasing the productivity and production from indigenous milching animal species. He said that farmers will have access to artificial insemination across the country, at no cost.
Balyan also stated that the government will provide 4,500 veterinary ambulances throughout the country.
He said that farmers will no longer need to visit veterinary physicians, but will instead visit farmers for treatment of their animals after receiving a call.
Balyan stated that the Central Government is focusing on the development sector of farms and that the annual budgetary allocation has been increased from Rs 22,000 crore to Rs 1 32,000 crore in 2014 to Rs 1 32,000 crore. Balyan expressed gratitude to milk farmers for pooling quality milk from hundreds, in seven districts, and procuring it.
The minister praised the National Dairy Development Board, for helping to facilitate four other such entities in Uttar PradeshVaranasi (Amethi), Rae Bareilly (Bundelkhand) for the upliftment of farmers in the state
Farmers are the shareholders of the organisation, which will be managed by the Board of Directors. The firm will only collect milk from its members.
Meenesh Shah (Dairy Development Board Chairman) stated that approximately 18,000 milk producers are now members of the organisation, which has contributed over Rs 55 lakh.
He stated that the milk collected from farmers is measured here using an automated machine. FAT-SNF is then checked by transparent computerized software. He explained that the farmers receive the payment directly in their bank accounts after a period ten days.
